<p>Nach zweijähriger Bauphase ist die Stadtkirche 1793 eingeweiht worden, die Grundsteinlegung war am 06. Januar 1791. Die ursprüngliche Turmhöhe betrug 28m und ist 1922 auf 35m erhöht worden. Die Erhöhung war für die von Opel gestiftete Glocke notwendig.</p>
<p>Der Zentralbau ist nach dem Vorbild eines Minerva-Tempels gestaltet worden.</p>
<p>Die Kirche hat folgendes Aussenmass 17 x 26 m und ein Innenmass von 15x 24m mit einer Wandstärke von einem Meter.</p>
<p>Der Kirchturm hat eine Fläche von 6,80x 6,80m mit einer Wandstärke von 1,40m und im Turm befand sich ursprünglich auch der Haupteingang.</p>
<p>Die Kanzel und der Alter sind in Richtung Norden ausgelegt.</p>
<p>Heute beherbergt die Stadtkirche die <a href="http://www.martinsgemeinde-ruesselsheim.de/ueber-uns/die-stadtkirche-ruesselsheim">evangelischen Martinsgemeinde </a></p>
