Ein Schild über dem Eingang weist auf das Jahr 1910 hin. Doch geht die Geschichte des Adlers  in der Frankfurter Straße viel weiter zurück.
Als Restaurant mit Tradition war „der Adler“ bekannt. Ursprünglich 1750 erbaut musste das Gebäude allerdings 1906 auf grund der maroden Holzkonstruktion abgerissen werden.
Vier Jahr Später entstand und das Hotel Adler mit Ballsaal an dieser Stelle. Ende der dreißiger Jahre befand sich am Hotel Adler auch eine sogenannte „Eiserne Jungfrau“,
dabei handelt es sich nicht um ein mittelalterliches Folterinstrument, sondern um eine Zapfsäule. In den Anfängen der Automobilindustrie war das Verkaufen von Krafstoff ein Nebenverdienst für Gaststätten, Restaurants, Hotels und Apotheken.
Heute hat das Hotel Adler 24 Zimmer, ein á la carte Restaurant sowie einen Ballsall.
